Jeff Williamson, co-founder and principal designer for the firm, began his career in business journalism as senior editor with Madison Avenue magazine, and as a freelance writer for such publications as Advertising Age, AdForum, Marketing Communications, Media Industry Newsletter, and Millimeter before moving into public relations and advertising with two of the world’s top 10 advertising agencies, Doyle Dane Bernbach and BBDO.

He attended Parsons School of Design, School of Visual Arts, and the Arts Students League, and, while still working in agency PR, brought his marketing and design expertise to bear on projects for a variety of social causes he had become involved with outside the workplace.

In 1993, he founded Avenue C Productions with his partner Margaret Tanzosh, who brought to the company an extensive background in marketing and sales in the software industry, in addition to computer programming and journalism.

This unique foundation has provided Avenue C with the knowledge, expertise and good fortune to serve many clients across a variety of categories with an unusual approach to their communications design needs.
